How we measure

Source. Internal scheduling and clinical records, validated May 2026 against production data.

Definitions.Continuity is patients with two or more visits who saw the same clinician on every visit (n=366). Time to first visit is the median for typed initial visits (n=28); the 90th percentile is within ten days. Visit length is the median scheduled duration for typed initial visits (n=70). First-six-months visit count is the average attended visits in the 180 days after a patient’s first appointment (n=832).

What we do not yet publish. Actual elapsed visit time. Workflow timestamps come online with our new booking system. Symptom trends (PHQ-9 and GAD-7) are tracked per patient at every visit and visible in the patient portal.

Methodology updated annually.

Patient voices

What changes after the first conversation.

“I’ve struggled with ADHD for years and gotten the run around from clinics more times than I can count.Feel August has been the first time where I didn’t feel like I needed to fight some legal battle just for a simple diagnosis and prescription. Arthur in particular also makes sure I include blood pressure checks and other diagnostics as well to ensure I’m responding well to any medication. If you’ve been struggling with ADHD and hesitating, don’t wait.”
Ryan O. · ADHD · Verified Google reviewer
“Many of my experiences in the past have just been: here’s some medication and an SSRI, come back in a month. In this case, the clinician listened to my concerns, worked with me on them all, provided different options for me, and explained everything in depth.”
Jake S. · Verified Google reviewer
“I have been a patient of Arthur Roehr for a little over a year and it honestly has been life changing. I put off finding care for far too long because I did not have the best previous experiences but could not be happier with my choice.”

Why we started

Why we started

ArthurPortrait · spring 2026

I trained inside a system that gives a clinician seven minutes for an evaluation and fifteen for a refill. That isn’t psychiatric care; it’s billing.

The people who find us are already doing the work. They’ve decided to take their inner life seriously. The practice exists to match that with care that takes the time it takes.

An hour for a first visit. The same clinician every visit going forward. A bill you can read in one sentence.

If that’s what you’ve been looking for, schedule a time.

Arthur Roehr, PMHNP-BC. Founder.

Frequent questions

Questions people ask first.

Do you accept my insurance?

We are in-network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross California, BCBS Massachusetts, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania, Oscar, Oxford, Providence Health, Quest Behavioral Health, and United Healthcare. Co-pay is typically $20 to $50 depending on your plan. After you book, we verify your specific plan within 24 hours and email you with confirmation. If your plan is not listed, self-pay is $400 for the first visit and $125 for follow-ups.

Can you prescribe controlled substances?

Yes, when clinically indicated. We do not prescribe controlled substances on a first visit, and we do not prescribe benzodiazepines for chronic anxiety. We will explain the reasoning behind every prescribing decision.

What is out of scope for the practice?

We are not a crisis service. We do not see patients under 18. We treat substance use and eating concerns at the outpatient level. If your situation calls for inpatient care, residential addiction treatment, specialized eating disorder programs, or active psychosis management, we will recognize that and refer you somewhere appropriate.

How fast can I be seen?

Most patients book within two days. Pick a time on our schedule and your slot is held instantly. No insurance verification call to delay you.

What if I'm in crisis right now?

We are not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, please call 988 or text HOME to 741741. You can also call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. We can begin care once you are stable.

Can I switch providers if it's not a good fit?

Yes. The relationship is the practice, but only if it is the right relationship. If you would like to switch to a different Feel August clinician, message us and we will make it happen.
