A note from our founder
Why we changed our name.
For years we practiced as Artful Living Psychiatry & Wellness. It was a name that described us. Our craft, our aspiration, our intentions. It did not describe the person it was for.
A name should point at the person it is for. You.
So, we changed it. We are now Feel August.
August, the adjective, means worthy of great respect. Dignified, self-possessed, majestic.
We chose it because we believe the person who takes their own mind seriously earns respect, recognition, and authority. Your mind, well-tended, shapes the world and the people around you.
This work is hard, but fundamental. It is one of the most dignified things a person can do.
So the name is not about us. It names what we see in you when you do this work. When you sit down to attend to your own mind, you are the august one. We are here to accompany you.
That is the whole of it. A name worthy of the person it serves. We see your hard work, and we honor you for it.
May you feel august.

What this means for you
What stays exactly the same
- Your clinicians and your care
- Arthur, Jana, and David have not changed, and neither has our license or our standard of care. The same people are here for you.
- Your appointments and your portal
- Every scheduled visit stands. Your patient portal, your logins, and your records carry over untouched. There is nothing you need to do.
- Your insurance and billing
- Coverage and billing are unchanged. You may still see “Artful Living Psychiatry & Wellness” on an insurance statement; that is the licensing entity behind the brand, and nothing about your benefits changes.
