Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Feel August is a California-based telehealth psychiatry practice founded by nurse practitioners who got tired of the assembly line. We built something different: 60-minute evaluations, 30-minute follow-ups, same-provider continuity, and measurement-based care that actually tracks outcomes — not just throughput.

We are looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who shares our conviction that psychiatric care should be unhurried, rigorous, and deeply human. You will carry your own panel of adult patients across the full spectrum of outpatient psychiatry — anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions — with the time, tools, and clinical freedom to do your best work.

This is not a "see 30 patients a day" position. This is a practice that believes the industry's speed problem is a quality problem, and we are building the alternative.

• Conduct comprehensive 60-minute psychiatric evaluations for new patients
• Provide ongoing medication management through 30-minute follow-up appointments
• Maintain a sustainable caseload that prioritizes depth of care over volume
• Use validated outcome measures (PHQ-9, GAD-7, ASRS) to track patient progress
• Collaborate with referring clinicians, therapists, and primary care providers
• Participate in shaping clinical protocols and practice standards
• Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence and continuous learning

• $170,000–$180,000 annual salary

• Active California PMHNP license (or eligible for California licensure)
• Board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• DEA license with Schedule II prescriptive authority
• Minimum 2 years of outpatient psychiatric experience preferred
• Comfortable with telehealth and digital clinical tools
• Experience with measurement-based care approaches
• Strong clinical documentation skills
